A 2-year-old female DLH cat is presented for signs of respiratory distress. She appears anxious and tachypneic. Body tempera ture, mucous membrane color, pulses, jugular veins, and precordial palpation are normal. HR is 240 bpm. A grade 2/6 systolic murmur and S4 gallop sound are heard at the left apex. Breath sounds are harsh. Lateral (117a) and DV (117b) chest  radiographs are obtained.
