Numerous neoplasms may affect the bone tissue of dogs and cats.
Bone tumours are classified as:
- primary (malignant or benign), when the tumour originates, in primis, from bone tissue
- secondary, in the case of:
- metastatic dissemination to the bone, caused by neoplasms located elsewhere or by primary bone tumours;
- secondary bone invasion, caused by the contiguity between tumour and bone.
